It's a Black's Nijer 10' ridge - older (and in my opinion better) version of their Icelandic 1.

I also have an old and very scruffy Stormhaven Special - I'll have a chat with the tent repairer on Tuesday about converting that into a flysheet for the Nijer.

It'll probably be the worst looking tent on site - unless we have very high winds... :-)

You should go.

I slept in mine at the National, no problems. And you've spent a whole summer living in your car!

These Queuecha 2 second tents are the only way to go, they really are fantastic and do everything they say on the tin, as the name suggests they can be thrown up in 2 seconds, they can be put down again in a slightly longer time (10 - 20 seconds) they are double skinned and fully waterproof and can even be pitched on solid ground carpark etc. (needs to be weighted down) Earlier this year at the side of Coniston mine survived fully intact with just 1 tent peg at each corner (with me toasty and warm inside) throught a storm that was snapping poles and guide lines on other tents. All my dive buddies have them too now. Very cheap too & they come in all different sizes and specs. no I don't work for Decathalon (the only UK supplier)

Sounds like my kind of tent :-) must go back to Coniston sometime as well. I'm amazed at the price - looks very good for the money.

Where's the Nijer?

Edit: Oh, it's a tent, not a place.

Nope - decided that sitting on your own drinking a crate of Stella doesn't hold the same appeal as it did 20 years ago.

Sorry if this information has been posted already, but is there somewhere with more details about this meet? Prices, address, dog rules, and times would be good... if anyone has a link?

Thanks

+1 - need to pass the details on to the parents about when to show up, whether it's worth up for 1 day or 2 etc....

Well, as seems to be the norm, there's little to no info on the CCC website that I can find..
Can't comment on cost, since I dont know..
However, the dates are 10th (fri) to 12th (sun) September, location : Stratford upon Avon racecourse, which is really well sign posted from outside of Stratford from all directions really..
Dogs aren't a problem, infact I think they should be encouraged, being the best people and all..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
