I've got a mental image of Mat turning up at Harrogate with oak trees attached to the tow bar of his BX. :)

I think you can probably squeeze a couple more trees in there, and I think you better had, because judging by "summer" so far, then you guys may be needing to turn your hands to carpentry at the ICCCR while I go and collect 2 of every animal.

That is one helluva puddle.

*peers doubtfully at cat litter supplies ... nope, that stuff ain't gonna cut it*

So, I'm buying shares in aggregates and anyone with an estate is stacking the boot full of bags of gravel?

The agricultural show has now been cancelled. This puts the ICCCR in doubt. If the jet stream does not move north we are in trouble and no one knows if and when and why it will move anyway!

Cat litter turns into a very effective liquid concrete in that sort of condition. What you really need is hay, masses of it, two years dry ideally.

What is that machine doing with its blade down?

I think we'd be a bit better in BXs, light, skinny tyres, good clearance, good torque delivery (in the diesels).

And if its really bad, i'll bring my boat :D

Watching about it on Look North earlier I think you'll probably do a bit better - they showed the classic BMW stuck in the mud. Plus the GYS' problem was mainly trucks with super high ground pressure. and the car parks were on a quite steep incline - the main showground is relatively flat.

Completely taking the piss that they did let the GYS go ahead though, even for that one day. They're posh country twats - surely they know it'll turn into a quagmire within the hour - now they've just destroyed the showground
