Another arrives
Badged as a 14TGE but says 14Re on log book.1989 on a G reg.
119k .sunroof,rear headrests.
Looks terrible and covered in green stuff,Tyres have more shine than the paint but closer inspection shows zero rust anywhere.sweet engine with c/belt at 95k,even spheres are still soft.
Will post pics of it after ive run a buffer over it.

Quite right - we discussed this when I mentioned my car being like this.Mine says re on the log book but is badged as a tge - I think there was an earlier discussion on this topic concluding that the DVLA are a lazy bunch of bastards...
Looks to be almost an exact twin to mine, except I suspect my rear headrests are actually front ones, my sunroof is by Britax instead of Citroen and my front bumper is that colour because it's faded .

It now runs, ive swapped the wheels and put correct trims on.Ive repaired the broken fuel flap after it had been forced open.Dont know if it was the ignition module or the coil as i swapped both but it now runs like a dream.
Next job is a buff.

looks better after its first polish in years although still a little cloudy so i will do it again (weather permitting)
What is concensus feeling on the white bumpers?I dont know whether to leave them or paint them to match?
After been stood so long ,the brakes needed nursing back to life but it drives like brand new.Ive gone round checking usual stuff like lights and washers/wipers etc and will be putting in for an MOT shortly to see what sitting 4 years has done but i cant find any rot whatsover so fingers crossed.

That,l do ,my Dad likes them but i agree with you Tim,Burgundy all the way! I will probably wait till she,s been for the dreaded MOT before going any further but im well chuffed with the way its come on.It did look like a scrapper on first impressions .I may use her for winter transport if the test isnt fatal.Classic insurance and cheap tax band after all.
