Emmmm might be wroth keeping then. But the steering can be funny somtimes it needs new pump and spheaers. The xm look tidy. But it might be a bit to big. A xantia would be a right size

I wonder if Sleepy would drop down and help or advise? He's in Lincoln and maybe if you tipped him a few quid he could either help out or advise you?

As has been said, there's nothing major there. The main point is, if you swap it for something else of a similar vintage , you'll almost certainly be inheriting another list of similar minor faults - that's what you get when you drive twenty year-old cars...
Fix what you've got, then keep on top of the maintenance - far better long term strategy.

And yes, a litre of oil every couple of weeks is far from 'not bad'. Mine doesn't use that much every two years...

Ill love to meet up with somone with a bx near mine. Theres 1 or 2 near sleaford. My grandad saw a white txd i think. My mate saw a green one i think. And i saw a silver tzs. Theres also a red bx in washingbough. Im at tattershell now. Near boston Sleaford area.
Ive phoned up about xantia inserance. 200 pound a month. The bx is 109 pound a month. Fully com.
I would hate to imagine a xm inserance.
So mabye its best to keep it. Ive been thinking, Taking it to bullwinkles. My citroen specilest. See what he can do. Get the bad stuff out the way with first. Do it bit by bit. I have a year to get them adviseryes done. Plus im young got my hole life ahead no rush lol.
If bullwinkles do it it might not take them that long. Unlike other places. The gauerge i had them mot with. Was making it sound really bad. They was saying stuff like i wouldnt do all of that. Be too much will be all of this stuff.

THANKS

not a bad plan, BUT. Why not have a go at some stuff yourself?
There's an almost limitless supply of help available here if you get stuck, and it'll save you a bloody fortune in garage costs.

I'd get the CV boot done sooner rather than later, but the rest, bit at a time, no problem.
Keep an eye on E-bay for HP pumps, they do occassionally pop up, or sticka wanted post on here and see what people have.
If I had a usable HP pump I'd send you one, but I dont, I've long since given them all away.

If you amass enough bits to so all the jobs you need and want to do by a rally next year, then you'll have several people right there to assist, show you how it's done, or even do it for you. Frankly if I dont fix something at a car event these days I feel like it was a wasted weekend.

IF you had the bits and there was a rally happening next weekend, without doubt, all that stuff would be fixed and sorted by the time you went home on Sunday, and we all work for beer!

advised item's dont always become a faliure by the next MOT, they can sometimes not even be a faliureable item at all just advised,

and itemes that can be a faliure might go for several years without becomeing a faliure,

even though all that said it is best to get as much fixed up as possible, otherwise it just becomes a bigger problem later,

Bullwinkles is on the Skegness Road isn't it? We pass it a couple of times a year and last year he had about four BXs out the back.

Hmm, I think it'll still cost you a few quid but worth the money to get the car right.
