If we're serious about this, then we need to start thinking about when we want to arrange the meet........

Are we thinking of a long weekend - Friday PM until Sunday evening?

Camping only or do some souls like me want hotel accommodation?

Cost ....... now there's a bone of contention. What do folks want ...... cheap as chips and sod the discomfort, or do you want showers/bogs/Swedish massage on site?? :?

If we can start to organise our thoughts, I'll get out there and sort out some venues. One thing to bear in mind is that a lot of things are shut until Easter.

I'm up for providing the Swedish massage - it might help clear up the weeping sores on my hands

Cheap as chips is good by me, unless there's a cheaper option?

Is there a campsite with a B&B within crawling distance for any who want it ?

Personal opinion - flushybogs would be nice :-)

I'm up for a :-({|= if that's going to be the scene :-)

I'm always up for a Image given enough ~wine~

This is where I wondered about, but they're only open Easter, Spring Bank and August from memory. They may open specifically for us if there are enough though. The wines can be surprisingly good, but vary depending on the quality of the growing season. Tasting is free though!

LLanbadrig's where I thought of as well Matt. The sea's just a few minutes away, there are some sheltered coves just over the way that grockles don't know about so a barbie might be in order, and the village is a 10-minute stroll for pubs, shops and snacks. Parking's not a problem either.

One thing to be aware of - there's no petrol outlets nearby...the nearest is in Amlwch, about 7 miles away (and isn't cheap).

Would it be worth my popping down there and having a word this week? I'll need some firm dates if Ilm going to enquire.

How about 30th April? It's the Royal wedding weekend, so we get the Friday off as a Bank Holiday, and it's May day on the Monday so a nice long weekend to recover! Plus people travelling from afar can make more of their stay in Wales if they want.

Regarding petrol, probably best to fill up before entering 'the island'...

Oh, and if it rains can we all sleep in your garage?

Sounds fine to me .............. I hadn't planned to watch the Royal nuptials anyway.......

Yep. Tesco in Bangor's about the cheapest place.

Oh, and if it rains can we all sleep in your garage?

Only if you promise not to disturb/molest my motorbikes!:shock:

Okay - Saturday 30th April - anyone against?

Numbers: How about a few names to start getting an idea of how many we're talking about.

The petrol station in Valley isn't too bad (not the Shell), and they used to do gas cylinders too!
