Re: Rich's BX 19TRS
Not seen many Dusters round here, but plenty of the others. I know for the last few years you haven't been able to move in Belgium for Logons - just shows that buyers don't necessarily want a load of complicated toys in their cars!

Re: Rich's BX 19TRS
I quite like the idea of a basic car. No leccy windows, no A/C , just a gear stick, four wheels and an engine.

Re: Rich's BX 19TRS
I think it is Logan as in Logans Run.. Loads of the things in France too. the original idea was a 5,000 euro car (Sandero) without toys but up to a sort of BX RE spec with newer emission/crash regs etc. We only got the rh drive one after the Indian factory was opened...
The local Renault dealer sells them but haven't seen to many - more Squashqai (after one ran me of road) CRVs' A6 and 7 Audis etc
Looks a real peach of a BX btw.

Re: Rich's BX 19TRS
As a bit of an update, just in case you had all forgotten this car, the 19TRS received a brand new Solex carb yesterday. I also spotted it needed a new Hydraulic pump belt, but that was easy enough to source so will be fitted in due course.
The new carb has made a huge difference, if any eagle eyed or long memory readers of this blog care to remember its always suffered from a funny carb related oddity (basically flooding of epic proportions every so often) despite several rebuild with new gaskets, O-rings, needle valve etc it could never be sorted fully. The new carb has obviously sorted it fully, picks up so much better, pulls cleanly through the whole rev -range. Proper - Job as Guy Martin might say.
The bad news, the old thing has now racked up an astronomical 59 thousand miles. when does it stop being a low, mileage car?

Re: Rich's BX 19TRS
You'd be amazed, my landlord used to work for Citroen U.K. At slough years ago. He had a lot of N.O.S parts. I bought most of them. New solex and new Weber amongst the stash. Very handy.

If it makes you feel any better my GT clicked over 60000 miles on the challenge, so guess not low mileage anymore!

Re: Rich's BX 19TRS
I think the problem is, BX's are great for actually driving, so it's tricky too keep the mileage down.
