Well the front page is very out of date so maybe someone could do this?

I would actually like to offer my services as a website manager to the club... and would happily tidy up the homepage a bit. It is rather neglected and out of date at the minute (Looks at BXAgon poster ). I look after websites for a living so I kinda know what I'm doing 8)

We need to make some of the most useful information from the technical FAQ available on the main site, and make some of the great BX-related stuff more accessible. It would also be a way for me to give something back to the forum ect... What do you say?

Also, back on topic, I think none of my cars are that legendary, but the white one is on Wikipedia... And I've seen pictures of it all over the internet!

I think that every BX that is still rolling and dodging the boneyard is a legend as they're all getting on a bit now.
But I especially choose Neil's '83 bronze TRS, for stamina of ownership - 23 years - and for it being so early an example in such good nick.

Edit : I think that's a good idea about updating the website Matt. Perhaps some more images of the BX that reflect the realities of everyday ownership : girls in bikinis draped over the bonnet etc.

Not just out of date but dead & gone like several other pages there sadly, all you get now to these pages is:

HTTP/1.1 New Application Failed

Not the beacon of BX enthusiasm it used to be. :(

I think the old pages are there somewhere. I wanted something off the 'BX DIY' page last week and got the HTTP error stuff then I had a word with Mat and it magically re-appeared..

You get my vote, as does anyone who can bring the rest of the site up to scratch with the forum area.

I can help with graphics. I think the revamp could include a new logo. Something to prepare for the 30th Anniversary.

And if we can agree I'll organise the window stickers.

As far as I am concerned here is the latest version we discussed, and what could form the basis of the new logotype for the club.

It's Xac who hosts the site, so would be best to contact him direct as me and Doc don't have FTP access to the website. With the missing links, I pointed out about this a couple of weeks back and got the following response:
Sorted, though not happy, loads of ASP pages when HTML would have done.
Can someone get back to me ASAP with a list of the links down the side of the page (www.bxclub.co.uk) which can be disabled?
I had to create a new application for each one.
That doesn't actually mean much to me (my HTML knowledge extends to fairly simple text pages only), but I guess it means that because of theway it was previously written, updating things is more difficult. Hopefully means more to you Matt and Phil!

I think it would be great if we had a more up to date front page, and equally importantly, easily updateable by active forum members.
