Been down to "Bullwinkles " this afternoon and looked at the cars. The TXD is already full of scrap and they wouldnt let me get the 19TXD badge off for you Phil.
But ive agreed a price for the StTropez and will be rescuing it next week so fingers crossed. Its too far gone i think for a resto but will im sure yield many a useful bit.

well not really, the garage that has kicked this problem off for us in the first place got lifted via putting parts on the internet, now here we have on a public forum our garage name and people talking about parts being removed from scrap cars.

As I said before, even removing one screw or, yes, a badge constitutes breaking a car on our premises which we can be fined for. The other garage got hit for £30,000 so it just isn't worth the risk.

The speedo cable came off of the car long before it was an issue.

I find it perfectly understandable, I think it has been made clear the reason these cars have to go and have to go complete. They have kindly been offered here before being scrapped so I don't think it fare aspertions are now made.

Well, it's only a badge. I'd hate to see anyone get into trouble over it! Do what you have to do, of course.

(Still seems a crazy situation, and I sympathise! Hope you get it sorted soon).

If the garage removes it then yes, but if someone else removed it then they wouldn't be liable

If the cars are vandalised or parts stolen then the garage has no liability ;)
