:D Sounds good. Thanks Brian! Was good to catch up, will give you a call soon. The car is running nicely at the moment but still dies after a cold start if I don't assist with some gas once it's started (it starts instantly). No pinking and feels much more peppy since I tweaked the timing, so it must be there or there abouts. But still a flat spot if I accelerate hard then lift off. Not as bad as before. Also it's very slow to pick up from low speed in 2nd, if I try to flog it. It can run out of steam up very steep hills in 2nd because of this power loss under heavy load.

As I said I have repaired the holes in the carb preheat tube in lieu of buying some new tubing, and I need to get some large clips to secure the warm air/air filter box tubing.

That 'peppy' feeling only exists when the timing is right or very close to right so that's good news. I think I'll have to experience the flat spot to see if I have any ideas on that one.
