No mate, theres a hole above the leading edge or the rear bumper. The bumper mount has come away with it. The hole wing is full of pudding, its a mess!toddao wrote:I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen estate rear wings available anywhere. Which piece do you need to repair Kitch? Is it the part over the front of the arch perhaps? I cut the piece for the repair of my arch/wing out of my breaker TRD and welded it in.
I was well chuffed with it at the time but now it looks a bit ropey I think : no rust now but the lines aren\'t quite right.
I\'ll probably just plate it and fill it though, its not a massive hole. I\'m cutting a BMW M3 up at work next week so I\'ll nick some tin off that!

Would you mind posting up how you get on with that wing repair Kitch? The Green Tiger is causing the current owner some concerns due to rot in that area. I have warned him that rear wings aren't really available, but (knowing nothing about welding!) I wouldn't have thought it'd be too tricky to patch it up? Good thing about the lack of curves...

I've also got a pair of Mk.1 bumpers - maybe I'll try those out too? The 16v is a mule anyway, might as well try a few things out.
what's it like underneath this area? That seems to be the real achilles heel of the old BX estate, in the box section that runs across the back : years' of spray gradually ingressing and chomping away.theres a hole above the leading edge or the rear bumper. I've been thinking about fitting Mk.1 wings to the 16v. I have to remove the wings to weld up the inner decay and I thought I might try out a pair of reddish Mk.1 wings that I bought off ebay for 30p. Jumble sale prices! They were 'collection only' from near Ipswich and I just happened to have a friend who lived right there.nooo, for a mk 2 hatch!

Have a look on the citronet site, there are a few valvesque mk1s on there, or mk1s with some body kit stuff on.
The mk1 wings/indicator combo is looking better to me these days, besides I have a colour conundrum. I\'ll post details up elsewhere.
30p for wings? be £30 over here!!!
