I'll be there at 1030 at Leicester Forest East services, anyone else?

I'll find you i think, i'll be making do with borrowed wheels, and nothing as eye catching as a light blue metallic BX.

didnt seem as many as previous years to me though

1 bx
1 2cv
3 C6's
about a dozen cx's
maybe 15 or 20 Xantias
a sprinkling of GS's
about 6 Xm's
and a sprinkling of GS's

oh one Audi A3 and a mk2 Golf GTi :D

Max, Tim myself and RXBX have since left though
so your down 1 BX, 1 Audi and 1golf
1991 BX Meteor 1.6

light travels faster than sound, thats why you look intelligent and then you spoil it all by opening your mouth !!!!!

Unfortunately, I never made it, due to my finding rust in the boot floor, the rear end of the sills and 3 of the 4 inner wheel arches of the BX while going over it ready for its MOT. All sorted now, though I'm now busy trying to sort the Vulcan for its MOT and helping a friend who decided to look for the water leak on his 2CV and is now relacing the lower windscreen frame!

Apologies for not making it - Still hoping to be at Stratford.

Yeah thanks Tim for leading the way to the site I'm sure i would have got lost otherwise. And thanks RxBx for that door seal.

I have to say i really enjoyed talking to everyone and finding out about quite a few great cars that were there today.

I was astounded by how good Tim's blue 16TRS looked as it pulled into the services at our meet point en-route. It quite took my breath away.

Other cars that stood out were a W reg V6 quartz metallic XM - like new, above and beyond any XM i've seen. Roger Bradford's old V6 Xantia was very nice, owned now by a guy called Tom i think. That engine sounds gorgeous! Brian's deep red CX 25IE auto with beige interior was a lovely series 1. Very nice CX22RS safari estate in glossy black -29000 miles! The CX loadrunner was something. I think Tim's was the best though for pure 'Timewarp' factor - brand new!

It was a pleasure to finally meet you Sue and have a good chat

But you when you arrived a lot of the attendees had gone off for a drive or a mystery tour (Oh, I think they called it a convoy) as least it was when they left the site, but returned in dribs and drabs

But I did take a few photo's, which I think proves more than six XM's turned up (Click for SLIDE-SHOW ) or view stills below, enjoy :-

Well, Sunday could best be described as . . . WET! Nevermind. (as Kurt Cobain would have said) Armed with my trusty camera and not a little 'Dunkirk spirit' I was damned if a bit of rain was going to get between me and a good time. Consequently . . . I got absolutely soaked! The only drawback (apart from the rain) was that all the 'BXers' only did Saturday, which robbed me of the opportunity to see Tims' TRS and Phils new Xantia. Pity. However, I managed to pick up a set of new mudflaps, half a 'blade set' (!) a new oil filter and a load of old 'Citroenians', so what with all the enthusiastic conversation, tea and sandwiches, I thought it was pretty bloody good - the sun came out later as well! Here's some pics;

Just Stratford next week, then that's it for this year (hope it doesn't rain!? )

That white BX looks fantastic. If Star Wars stormtroopers were transformers, they'd look like that.

If I can find a good one to trade mine for i'll be there. Or maybe a second BX......hmmm

Nice pics chaps. I had to leave on Sunday, and the torrential rain on the way back made the motorway a pretty awful place to be (other drivers doing 80 when the signs were showing a 40 limit - and some with no lights!).

Who's is the white BX?

Leaving the stunning brown SM aside my favourite choice here would have to be the pale green/blue CX Prestige FLB118Y ,lovely motor.
