Just finished my night shift's, still groggy and half asleep, plus the weather forecast is lousy so i'll be coming down to Stratford on Sunday and forgo camping on Saturday night. Anyone else just coming for the Sunday. Anyone one want to meet at services en-route

I'll be doing M6, M6 toll, then M42 and final slog along M40 and A46. Nice steady 70mph cruise and 40 mpg.

I'm setting off from Newark (Notts) at about 9.00am - should be at Leicester Forest East about 9.45 (ish). I pick up the A46 after the M69 (with a bit of A45 in between) I'm not sure where Knutsford services is?

My mob. no. is; 07932991820 if you want to 'rendezvous'- be good to bump into each other (not literally obviously - that would be a bad thing)

I'll set off around 9ish, so would be passing Knutsford svcs 10-15ish if you want to travel in convoy.

Knutsford svcs. Pokey MOTO service station that doesn't like truck drivers using it's facilities. Judging by the attitude of it's staff towards me and my fellow truckers, on the unfortunate occasions i have been forced into using it's "facilities". Rant over.

Thats North of me - I'll probably be somewhere on the A46 by then - travelling rather slower I expect, so I'll keep an eye out. Any major services in the Warwick/Rugby area - if you're going that way?

Well i finally got home. Noticed as i was still at Stratford that the ignition barrel seemed stiff to turn but turn it did, however after stopping at Charnock Richard svcs about 45mins from home the ignition definitely didnt want to turn. Swift response from the AA man got me going again, but key won't turn in barrel on getting home. Reckon the new key i have been using has exasperated the wear in the barrel so a new barrel is in order i think. Apart from that a good day out.
