I would have thought it just needs marginal alteration tbh, with old stuff just being deleted such as the section where it shows a few of the members cars, it would be nice if that was updated to actually show more members cars as quite a few on there don't even own a bx anymore

I personally am not too bothered about too much change as in it's current format it has been a great font of knowledge/assistance to me and so will hopefully continue to be to others but I do agree that out of date links such as the 2009 BXagon etc. just make it look like a dead site.

Could we not simply host the front html pages externally? Saves the load on the forum server too. I've got server space, and can open it up so others can edit, though i suspect there is plenty of unused Mb kicking around.mat_fenwick wrote:From a brief conversation with Xac it seems that due to the way the site has been written, it's not that easy to change things. Agreed though - a makeover/simplification would be good.
It wouldn't be too difficult to save all the data from the existing site, and evne reproduce the layout. I've done this before on a corporate site which had lost all its original code, and while time consuming, it is relatively straight forward.
I like the simplicity of the existing site, it's quick to navigate and load. But i agree it needs some updating.
