I've asked the very same question, but the only reply I got was 'make me an offer', something that's difficult to do fairly when I don't know what I'm making an offer onRichard what does the GT and the Digit need doing? i know it needs welding but where?

BX Digit listing is starting bidding at £250:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-CITROEN- ... 3f0e6001c2
Rather cheeky for a non-roadworthy car he obtained free from David Rutherford on the basis he would fully restore it & hasn't!

True but if it was on for £1 and only fetched say £100 you could see it getting broken or scrapped, I imagine the cost of transportation from devon to keithley wasnt cheap!Way2go wrote:BX Digit listing is starting bidding at £250:

Even at £250 its not expensive, its probably the only left in the UK?
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Apologies just reread the listing and it states 'manual'under transmission...
no i cant se t'other one though i'll admitt.
So who's bidding on the Digit or GT?!
I imagine the Gt is in the same condition as when it was on ebay...think it needed door bottoms and sills??
Digit..looking at ebay photos rear arches and nearside rear quarter panel...presumably the same issues as in David's thread?
How many cars can you run Tim?!
no seriously what is the maximum number of cars you can reasonably run....

Evening guys.
I know from all the prevoius threads it does need substantial surgery. All i managed to get done was to get it running ,oh and i bought a brand new "GT" wheeltrim and thats that.
I bought the other GT just at the time i started working 6 day weeks so my appologies in been vague but i really havnt had time to give it a good looking over. The 16RS is the worst looking BX i think ive ever seen but further inverstigation i think it isnt such a bad shell. All the panels to replace damaged or rusty are included albeit mk2 doors however it still needs work to sill ends at least. Inner wings on all 3 mk1.s look pretty good even the digit.
Ive put all 3 cars up for sale at the same price and yes 1 was "free" and i think you all know what ridiculus amount i had to pay to save the GT from the breakers yard so its starting bid is half what i paid without any recovery costs , same goes for the RS Auto which was saved from the council clearance department who were going to "move it" and i had it recovered back to Yorkshire from London.
Hope this makes sense,Richard.

Thanks for the pics Tim,
From the looks of it anyone who wanted to do a quick patch up could do so (although it's effectively priced out of that market), but for a long term job it needs new rear wings (unless you're handy with the fabrication) a new sill, and the front subframe dropping to make proper repairs to the front bulkhead & floor area. Knowing the general condition of the 14 I've just sold, and what I had to do on it, I can imagine the rest!
As to comments on the price, It's up to the seller to decide what he wants for it (and how long he's willing to wait), and for the rest of us to decide what (if anything) they are willing to pay for it. hopefully somewhere in the middle of that an agreement can be reached and a home found for this car (and ALL the others)
I'm off to have a think and work out the cost of getting the thing, although I have a good idea as I have a habit of picking up motors from a long way away

Edit - to make sense - sorry getting tired - 60 hours last week, but only 9 next
