bear in mind if you change to a TD box you'll have to replace the cable with a TD cable aswell.
I do have the one that I've just removed from my car, but it's not a happy box, I've got it in bits and was planning to rebuild it with new synchro's and bearings at some point, but as it stands, I could throw it back together, but it's probably no better than what you have already.
Since Jay has a decent working Na box surely that would be the easiest to fit?
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Any box would do Doc, I will take a n/a diesel one, wouldnt mind fitting the longer legged 5th cog to it.

Jay is quite a way from me though, I expect I could get it couriered up here.

Is the one on a 1.6/19 Petrol the same?

The petrol gearbox ratio's will be different to the diesel one's Tim  See if you can get it couriered up cheaply from Cornwall. Might be worth checking with David as he had quite a few bits at one time which he did say he was going to have to scrap as he was moving, you never know he might have one still laying about? What about Barry Annels?

For a given engine - say the 1.9NA diesel or the 1.9 petrol, how different are the gearboxes that were used in other PSA offering of the day - like the 205, the 405, the xantia or ZX - they all came with the same engine offerings - i'd of thought the gearbox's would be the same too and the different fitments managed by different driveshafts perhaps.
