EDIT: The one's Ken has for sale may not be 6", I can't see where the width is quoted?
Kevan,
The O/E 'Graphite' Speed-line alloys were all (Normally) 6"J in width and fitted to the GTi 16v

The all silver ones were generally 5.5" width (but IIRC all silver 6"J were fitted to the 4x4 GTi) !

:D

For once I can answer obscure model variants!

My E reg 16v has silver 6J Speedlines and it's in white - I'm pretty sure these are original and I seem to remember other early white Mk I valvers having silver Speedlines...

Silver 6j ones on the phase 1 16v, graphite 6j on the phase 2, silver 5.5j on everything else.

Sorry but I've decided not to sell these.

They not mine anyway, I was selling them on behalf of a certain Anthony whose son owned the 17TGD, and yes I offered them to Daren for £60, but have lost money on the car I thought these wheels and tyres were worth £75 especially as they come with all the wheel bolts. So £15 profit for me! well maybe not.
The buyer wanted to have them collected by courier who advised they should be individually wrapped in bubble wrap ready for collection, that's a lot of bubble wrap plus time going to find it and finally doing it.
Then there's the issue of whether they're the right size tyres, wheels etc etc.

Frankly I can't be arsed. I've told Anthony to come and collect them.

Sorry but deal with him yourselves.

Hi Ken,
I'm with with you on this one /\ , as when I Sold a set of five Dolomite Sprint Alloys on E-Bay last year (Which were without tyres) it took the best part of 3 to 4 hours to package them all up, protecting them with bubble-wrap and filling the hollow areas of the box internals with polystyrene blocks etc.

Then wasting a complete A.M. the following day waiting for the Courier to pick up, as their pick times are 8.30 to 17:00 hr's (They actually came @ 12:49 to pick up the parcel) so when you add all that up, it equates to approx. 8 hr's of lost time devoted to that task !

Some folks don't seem to understand all that /\ , so maybe I may too join you Ken on turning my back on BX's (and this forum) !

Hopefully it may happen sooner rather than later (when my last BX is gone) as I did want to get it back on the road with it being my first ever Green Blooded vehicle, It's a Silver 1.7 DTR TURBO hatchback on a 'G' reg. plate, but needs a top end strip/overhaul due to a cam-belt failure (I have a spare head also a superb spare turbo too) !

But I think it might just be easier (and less stressful) for me just to scrap it along with all the remaining BX spares after the personal $hite/attack on me in THIS thread which I really couldn't care a flying f**k about compared to all $hite I've encountered in my personal life in 2011 !

Rich, so your'e going to spite yourself just because of a little moan on a thread, i've re-read it all, & blimey theres nothing hardly in it. Take a break from the forum by all means, but don't do anything that you'll personally regret. No idiots on forums get me down, they might pee me off when i'm in a bad mood, but i soon get over it 8)

Take it easy & get your bx back on the road, you've mentioned your car a few times, i want to see it at the iccr this year. Perhaps we might have a challenge of me getting my blue tzd back on the road, who can get there 1st, you or me :D

I understand Ken's thoughts exactly, a lot of work for hardly anything, personally i'd be having a word with the owner who didn't sell me a mint car & would be persuading them to give them away for FREE as some small compensation for finding bodgey paint hiding holes :x
