Sounds like you need a career change, 50+hrs a week, no chance, having a life is more important than working myself to an early grave with stress etc...Perhaps a different dealership would offer a different deal? or do something completely different & nothing to do with sales?

My hours vary greatly - this week I'm doing 0!

Other weeks I officially do 64, although that can go up depending on breakdowns, customer orders, the time of year and the weather.

The biggest issue is they tell me when I'm having time off, although I can sometimes shuffle things round a bit.

If you've never been, it's worth the effort as it's a fantastic place, although you'd struggle to see everything in a day

No ankle-biters in tow, but now I'm able to contemplate life beyond the next 2 days, am starting to be tempted.

112-ish miles ... Sunday morning, should only take [deleted in case any traffic police reading] from Stevenage.

Anyone from points north really desperate to go and want to break up the journey on my sofa overnight? If not, then it'll be an impulse decision on the day

270 miles for me, so probably not...even though a sofa and only 200 miles to Stevenage would make it more feasible!

Getting to the Travelodge evening of the 7th. Will have wife and youngest daughter with me... Seems there's lots to fill the day with. Are we rendezvousing at Ower services (M27 J2) at around 10am on the 8th?
