Just finished polishing and waxing the astra, but forgot the door shuts - run out of motivation now, but have a shiny astra! Mmmm shiny. (shame about the awful bodywork though)

Polish? Pffft! I've checked the oil level in the BX. Can't polish a turd.

No, but you can roll it in glitter and tart it up so it doesn't look like quite such a turd!

Well count yourself lucky! For me to check my oil I have to either straddle 3 parking spaces or jack up the rear passenger corner to get it level. That's living on a bloody hill for you.

You coming in your MK1 estate then Mr Dollywobbler?

I imagine you will have more people round that than quite a few other cars!

Are you going to wash it?

Nope. It's still not been properly washed since I bought it. I gave it a blast with my pressure washer to get the worst of the dust off but that's it. Cleaning it is hardly going to make it look nicer!

It's currently got a boot full of sawdust as well. Proper barn find look!

No worries, Mr Dollywobbler will be taking it for a drive whilst there for a road test feature in Practical Classics I think so I will take your for a spin once thats done so you can feel the "waftiness" of a Mk1.

Classic Car Mart Tim. I'm whoring myself around a bit at the moment.

I'm hoping someone from PC will be there on Sunday though.

Hooray, waftiness! Everybody is very welcome to have a perv around my astra, as long as they don't look too hard at all the bad bits.

If any 14's (or 16's for that matter, but that would be being quite ambitious) are going to be in attendance, it would be very interesting to see how they compare with the astra in a race! I'm sure we could find a suitable area for it :D

Well the TZi has finally returned home from my mate's workshop just in time for this meeting on Sunday. A bit of a'shakedown' trip tomorrow ready for the big day! It still has crappy wheeltrims though!

Brian.

I'll be missing it too, unfortunately, as the bits still haven't arrived for the GS. Still, it means an extra day for getting ready for the Challenge - I feel another fun packed day of welding coming on
