Well we made it, and are now parked among the other 'X's.... I hear a rumour there is some sort of deal for those of us who wish to visit the house?

Well that was a rather successful meet!

Not only did i make it there and back without any faults (save for an off centre steering wheel), but i met a huge number of new faces and counted an astounding 26 BX in attendance!

A marvellous day and lovely to put some faces to names! Some to-die-for cars there (NB I noticed the Xantias cheating and spacing out in a failed attempt to make their line longer than the BX one - fantastic turnout!) Nice that 2 of the concours winners (congrats Gary & Paul - not sure who #1 was?) are both in regular use as cars should be - gives me hope for mine. At X-rally #94 probably. Shed of the show was a shoe in.

Last but not least, thanks to everyone who supplied me with bits for the beast and Mat for fitting my newly acquired air intake hose then and there.

I have to agree it was a very successful meet. Great to see some familiar and new folk there. Some Excellent cars - quite a few familar but rather a lot of BXs that were 'new to me'. Shame I didn't get to say hello to some I would like to have met, but next time! I reckon over 80 cars there?

Must have been, I counted 25 bx's in total!!

Well the drive up, and back to Hythe, Southampton was enjoyable, and as comfortable as was expected. My fiancée and I took a gander round the 'food show', -what there was of it.... Walked in to see about visiting the house, -and promptly walked back out again...£13 odd, per adult, rather steep we thought.... Then wandered back over for the rain, and awards.... Does anyone know who drove furthest to attend? We were 3hours driving each way, total about 377 miles, if my AA route planner and sat-nav are correct.
Was the £5 to cover cost of entering the lucky 'name draw' for awards?.... Some very, very nice cars to see, pity the DS left before Nikki and I could have a good look at it.... -those that acknowledged us, shortly after us arriving, nice to meet you, -Tim, (and 2 others whose names escape me)I believe there is a 'French Car' event very soon at Beaulieu , that I may attend, at least it'll be cheaper to get there and back.....I might even win something!
