Sort of?

If practicality didn't come into it, that'd be what I'd have. Obviously in red (my favourite colour) with leather and air conditioning. And it would be an estate as (bizarrely and perhaps uniquely) I prefer the shape of the estate.

But realistically given the miles I do, fuel costs and spares availability would mean that a turbodiesel makes a lot more sense. Maybe a tuned 1.9TD for a bit more torque....

So it would seem I've already got my ideal BX! :D

OK, I'd like the Buffalo interior and a sunroof, but neither are impossibilities!

Booyakasha! Check it . . .

Only joking  I like this . . .

With speedlines, front fogs (yellow ones) a splitter and aircon, it would be perfect. (although I can't quite make up my mind about babywalker spoilers).

Oh and I'd need a mark1 (of course). Which would look like this . . .

Image

. . . but with those funky mark1 alloys.

What engine/trim/colour is the beige mk2? I cant make out the writing on the wing. It's absolutely beautiful, and those are my favourite BX wheel trims. I think I'd have to have my 19TRS in that beige, with the TG trims repainted in nice sparkly silver.

The mk1, in red, with an auto, a 1.6, grey/beige interior, those funky alloys and yellow fogs would be my number 2.

I obviously need to swat up on my BX model variants!

It's a 'Millesime' - 'Athena' in the UK. This is a French car, where it was also available as a 1.7 turbo diesel ( like this one) - just 1.6 petrol in the UK. The colour is 'champagne' - a very light gold, and quite rare (and lovely!). That car was advertised on Leboncoin - mint condition, 50,000km - 4500 euros asking price!

Joking apart, if any of the engines in my cars gave up (except the GT) I would stick a 1.9TD Xantia engine and be done with it.

They're excellent engines. But stick one in a Xantia and it will STILL blow up! Bitter experience talkin' there! :( :(

I'd go for a turbo diesel estate in that electric blue colour. Most important though it'd have the following: 'Never rust' steel and 'never rot rubber' hydraulic lines, 'never wear/leak' hydraulic seals, a 'never sink' rear/arse end, never rust inner front wings and door slams, a sunroof but with the headroom as if it did not have one, a non-dancing speedometer, an everlasting and ever-smooth clutch. I think that'd do nicely!.
