My monkey wrench was too big and I couldnt get it in the aperture, will ask my mate at work if he has one.

Sorted! Its off and the panels gone to the painters, wiper spindles very worn but found a spare in whats left of my parts stash, result!
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

The best tool for the job is a pair of pipe grips, (Footprints) used in the same plane as the spindle.
