In my country , the far west , I mean the french far west = britain ( the little one not the great one )
they recently have invented some kilt draws as member of celtic nations
Hmmm... My family's linked (Through my Mum's side) to Cameron of Errach - I have a tie, but my bro has the full traditional kit! We were one of the first clans to join the uprising! Interestingly enough I was told, (but haven't confirmed it yet) that my Dad's side of the family may be connected to the Frazers, who fought against them - something I may have seen re-enacted by my parents as a boy!

Anyway, must have a think about some decoration for the car on this theme!

I'll get my coat
They only need some paddle wheel …and GOOOOOoooooo

I remember once I was about to traverse a road crossed by floods during a storm : I did't have any paddle wheels then and I only lift the BX with the height control and with some moose it was enough to get through the crazy river who wanted to rapt my BX …and myself
Once again the green liquid spirit included into the BX was stronger than the see-through external one 8)

Being adopted I've no idea of my genealogy. However with my short temper, I suspect there's some Klingon in my genes. :D

This is looking doubtful for me unfortunately. :( My friend/co-driver has dropped out, so funding this 100 % myself is going to be difficult. I'm still willing to help with getting stickers made up and the offer of a pit stop/brew at mine still stands.

It wont be as expensive Mark as the Challenge and you are one of our further north members!

Maybe you could hitch a lift with someone else Mark - if you could put up with the music I could pick you up on the way.

Aye. Given the number of vehicles with spare seats, you could probably even change vehicles several times if you fancied!

Thanks for all the positive 'vibes' guys.

I don't think it would be the same if I wasn't in my own car though.

Job hunting not going well. I've done some agency work, but it is hit and miss.

I could move away to Crick/Northampton way, where jobs are more plentiful, but that would entail the selling the valver, which I don't really want to do if I can help it.

I'm sure something will turn up eventually.

Yep, they keep telling you there's plenty of jobs out there, but what they don't say is that a lot of them are part time, temporary or minimum wage!

I assume the driver agencys by you aren't that busy? My Dad ended up making more money than me working 9 months a year with an agency that kept supplying drivers to Sainsbury for their night trunks, but that was several years ago.

It's very quiet up here Mike. All the major RDC's in the NW are Liverpool/ Manchester way. Which would mean a hour commute each way, with all the associated fuel costs and wear/tear. People just aren't buying enough stuff unfortunately.

John Lewis/Waitrose have established a RDC in Leyland which is 45 mins away, so do-able in terms of travelling. It is supposed to 'come on line' this summer. No class 1 vacancies as of yet though.

*apologies for going off topic*

*BUMP*
I'm assuming everyone attending the Ecosse Challenge is ok with camping. Sounds an obvious question I know, but I'm going to make a provisional booking for the first night at Hoddom Castle camping/caravan site in Ecclefechan.

Just over eight weeks to go. :D

I thought you couldn't afford it :D Glad to see you're back in.

Does this booking mean I've missed some sort of itinerary and confirmed guest list?
