Aye. These things happen. I'd rather miss it due to being too busy than too skint! (which is why we couldn't even consider the Challenge last year).

I've got this nagging feeling in the back of my mind I should be paying someone for stickers - am I right?

I've sent the artwork designs to the printers today, so should receive a price quotation next week. I've ordered 12 'sets' of stickers to include a large plaque for the bonnet/roof, two smaller ones for the doors and a rear window sticker. Once I've got the price from the printers I'll post it up and take it from there.

Getting there. The engine seems fine now, but because of the time needed to sort Timex's head, I've little chance of getting the GS ready for Sctoland. Instead I'm planning to do a few more mechanical jobs on Timex (exhaust, front wheel bearing, ball joint), then possibly swap over a couple of doors and repair a hole in one of the back wings before it heads off to Scotland.
