Scotland is not cheap as we have found but it should be worth it.

The following hotels/B&Bs are the ones we booked. For Thursday we are travelling further on as I have to be in Ripley, near Guildford by 6.15 Sat morning.

Saturday 22nd June

We are staying near Perth on Thursday night to shorten our Friday drive which will end up being 500 miles in any case.

They look a bit top drawer to me Hilary. I'll be looking at Mr's McPorridge's Cockroach Inn; 10 bob with army blanket, 6 bob without. :D

I've nothing against cockroaches. The only guaranteed survivors of a nuclear holocaust. Not that I'm planning on setting off a thermonuclear device, whilst touring Scotland in a Citroen BX!!

Well I suppose I could fabricate a small yield device, between now and the 22nd of June. I can also do thermonuclear devices in various colours. A green mushroom cloud is truly something to behold!! :D

Are you not passing Dounreay on your jaunt, I believe they are looking to move some plutonium away this year as part of their decommissioning? Two BX's each containing just over half the critical mass - high speed head-on impact & voila! :wink: :oops:

Looks like I'm sticking with camping after all. Definitely sites with showers *at least* every other day please!

Eeek! yes I think camping may have to make do unless I can find something on "late rooms" before the off.

Personally, I blame the American and Japanese tourists!! :D See, I've been telling everyone to stock up on Irn- Bru 'coz it's cheaper this side of the border and no one believes me!! :lol:

Dunno about nuclear devices but if my tablets play up I could definately fumigate the place for you!
