By "tablets playing up", I presume you don't mean connectivity issues with your iPad?!!
Nope - Side effects of the Metformin I'm on - if I had a motor converted to run on gas, I could probably fuel it when it's really bad!

Riverside campsite in Hawick booked for the 22nd of June. :)

p.s. I've paid a booking deposit of £25 for a large pitch, we can work out the details when we all meet up.

Anyway as in those days the night is so short ( I think it only last a few hours : 3 or 4 or less , I don't know yet ) maybe could we escape to the sleeping time and directly go from one day to the other
I don't care about because I'm not driving
OK I

I'm sure I could work out the difference, but this time of year it gets dark round here at around 9:45ish, and they're quoting about 4:25 sunrise. I know my mate in Cumbria has about another 10-15 minutes of light in the evening, so I assume something similar in the morning - you can double that difference by the time we reach the highlands - more by the time we run out of North!

It's dark here in Lancaster around 22-30 and getting light around 03-45 in the morning. Up in the Highlands and the far north of Scotland it doesn't get dark around the longest day, just a kind of perpetual dusk.

Not long now, can the techy guys think of anything I should bring (asides LHM, oil etc) with me as I am one of the few non 16v petrols coming along....the GT is in fine fettle but you never know! I will be replacing the plugs before I go and checking all the levels.

Also when we went to France I took FAR Too much stuff so will aim to economise this time and buy stuff "along the way".......so sleeping bag, tent, roll up matress, stove, cutlery and a few pots plus clean clothes etc!

I booked myself a pitch for the Applecross campsite last night, so don't forget folks

Tim there's an old saying in engineering circles:-

"If it doesn't move and it should, WD-40 it and if it does move and it shouldn't, Duck Tape it"

I'll be bringing my tool box and some spares, bulbs etc. I've got a accelerator cable repair kit and clutch cable from the French Challenge, so I'll bring those along. Check your spare tyre is in good condition, just in case. A spare dizzy cap and rotor arm wouldn't be a bad idea as well. When was your HP pump belt last changed Tim? Might be wise to get it changed beforehand, or at least bring a spare belt.

I'm sure we will all be fine from a mechanical breakdown point of view. I've got AA personal membership cover. So I can always jump into someone else's car if they have a problem.

Moreover, lets all just enjoy ourselves. Oh and start praying for nice weather. :) [-o<

I've collected the stickers today and they look fab.

Only one problem. There's been a slight cock up, in so much as the printers have done a small plaquette as the rear window sticker, instead of the original design that Phil submitted.

Sorry about this folks. If anyone specifically wants the rear window sticker as per Phil's design, then I can have a word with the printers and get them to run some off. Shouldn't be too much money.

Once again I do apologise for this slight error. :-)

Not sure when the HP belt was changed, but not in the 7 years ive had it, unlike a 16v and diesel its run off the bottom pulley so not sure if finding one may be awkward (tried to get one before an my local factors could only get an aux belt) Will price up a rotor arm and dizzy cap.

They'll probably list the HP pump belt as a 'suspension belt'. If you can, get a Gates belt, as they're the closest to OEM. Dizzy cap & rotor arm shouldn't be more than £15 or so.

Measure the old belt (piece of string) and match it up by size if there is a problem.
