To be fair it does look the dogs danglies even to me and I hate red cars plus a good advert like that works wonders so I can see it flying off the shelf very quickly Phil.

Thanks. It makes me a bit sad, given the fact it was Kermit and my trusty steed for the Challenge, but in the end I'd like to think it'll go to an equally deserving home. There are already 27 watchers (OK I know one of them's Liz and about 20 of those will be from here, just curious to see how it goes lol!), so I hope you're right and it does sell well.

And this must add a few quid to its value:

Quite a few more watchers - well over 50, but no bids. Note the reserve is set much lower than the Car&Classic 'Buy' price. ;) Grab a bargain :)

Yes, so it will sell. Just a case of to whom... I hope it goes to a fellow BXer/Citroeniste.

It does look good Phil - I think anyone who knows how good these are wouldn't be upset by the cost around the £600 mark - if I was looking it wouldn't bother me - I'd be more concerned about getting a decent motor - which this definitely is. I use BP Ultimate all the time.

Best of luck with the sale :D

Sold. Made £500 which is modest, but not complaining; it's going to a good home :)

Congratulations and commiserations in equal measure!

Sorry it had to go after being an icon for the Challenge, but glad it's to a good home and relatively quickly for you.

Yep, it's sold to a member from here so it's remaining in the Family. Incidentally said member was signed up to do the Challenge, but had to drop out almost literally at the last minute! So there's a sort of karma thang going on :)

Curiosity killed the cat as they say.
I will bring one BX on next years challenge but can't say which, as the Red Baron is going to my daughter to rplace the 14RE I may not be allowed to take it. I only get to pay for it ,the insurace, the repairs etc etc

Yes fine 269 miles then for an encore my daughter went for a ride up to Newcastle in it so poor car did about 400 miles on its first day all trouble free no hassle at one point we had the Silver Gti in front and the red baron behind in convoy on the A19 the Gti slightly weighed down by a super king size wooden bed and some other stuff it is amazing what you can get in a bx.
Great car, today it might get a set of speedlines to set it off nicely and hopefully somewhere on this site i may find a hurricane spoiler ive only ever had BXs with this spoiler they look wrong without.
