I have a great little gizmo with a heating element that you put water in, then you plug it into your cigarette lighter. After it has blown your fuse several times, and you eventually replace it with a bent nail or similar, you are rewarded with lukewarm water in an hour or so. Magic!

shakedown consisted of trips to the tip to make room on the drive for the GS, then to Cam Tyres to get the tracking checked - by which time the rain started.

Stopped again now so will pull the CB gear out of the GS ready for the trip, then get a few hours of kip ready for tonight.

Oh how the things we say in jest can come back to haunt us! Got a text from Vanny 10 minutes before I was about to leave work telling me his car is dead (coolant leak), so he'd transferred the Tunnel booking to mine.

We've made it to the hotel in Folkstone, and just settling down to a quick drink...

Amazing day!! Nothing like a mad continental dash for keeping you young and invigorated. Nearly 24 hours with no sleep, but hey. Great to meet the French BX contingent and forge a new alliance. Here's to more events in the future.
