Everythings mendable, shame really as its been quite a BX "Hero" over the past few years, if I had the space I would buy and just store it.

Yes, everything's mendable - at a cost! I keep wondering about letting my cheap bodywork bloke have a look at it, but I still reckon it'll be £500's worth. Then the clutch needs replacing, and the cambelt, and both sills are a bit iffy, and the seams are blowing on the inner wings and the boot floor, and the intermittent PAS has returned, and the heater tap has jammed, and it's a bit crusty beneath both washer bottles...

Not bad things on their own, but put them together and it's more more than I have. I don't mind spending more than a car is worth - I did that with this car from the instant I bought it - but salvation would be very costly.

What it needs is someone who can weld it up themselves - unfortunately I've already got my hands (plus the drive, various lockups and a barn  ) full of motors needing work.

I'm going to have to bump this one again. £150 does NOT include road tax - it currently has 12 months on it - foolish me. I'll seek a refund or you can pay a bit extra

I don't think breaking it myself is an option. Be aware that one rear brake pad has come apart (material no longer attached to backing plate) so you drive it away at your own risk. Or bring a spare pad!

I could ask Phil if he wants an estate to break. It was one of his customers cars in the past so he'll know it.

Re: Green Tiger - BX19TGD estate for spares. MOT. £100

Post by Dollywobbler »

I can't bring myself to break this so rather than make some actual money flogging bits of it, I'm offering the entire car for £100. It may even find itself on Ebay as I just need it gone. Has MOT but no tax. It still drives but the RH front brake caliper piston boots are non existent and the rear brakes are a corroded mess.

Get it fixed up, stick a turbo engine in it and hello Scotland?

It's still here and it's becoming apparent that I'm not going to be able to sort it out. £100 for a BX with MOT. SORNd and in need of welding but still runs nicely.

Open to offers. I just want it gone.
