All now merged - I'm away at the moment so only limited internet access. I think that the 3 pictures limit is per post, not per thread so a second post in the same thread should be able to provide more attachments.

This is a very attractive car and if it is still available in a couple of weeks when the Saab is serviced, Tested and sold then I may be interested... but I do think the price is optimisitic. It will be a matter of finding the right buyer, as this gentleman was when Patrick offered it for sale last time.

As usual, the car is nearly five hours away from me, but not as far as Dean's Activa on the Isle of Wight (see his thread on FCF if interested).

I also like BXs. But no offers ...

So I'm sure Doc has more standards than those 2.
Not higher standards necessarily. Just more.

It certainly looks a nice example this , but WHY would the original owner change the colour from Green , probably at great expense when they could have bought a 16v in black and it would probably have been cheaper to boot ????? Has the engine bay area been sprayed too ?

Afaik the only way to tell it was green originally is to remove the carpet, every bit of the car that you see in day to day driving was painted black.

Maybe someone really wanted a Black GTi but none were availble or is superstitious about green cars?, this is a K plated car so one of the last ones about. The lack of the hurricane stripe is a give away too. Looks like we will never know!

I spoke to Patrick about this car recently. The original purchaser (a liberal MP apparently) wanted a black 8v, but by that time in the BXs production run there just weren't any left. The dealer offered her the Hurricane GTi plus a factory re-paint under warranty (God knows how much that cost!?) The only other alternative was a Xantia - no brainer really!?
