If i made an offer on this car how would i go about insuring it? would it need an engineers report?

Dont think you would need a report no, I can pm the guys number, but he doesnt use a mobile and is out all day, so aswell as not using a PC hes hardly making a big play of selling it.

If you could give me his number i'll try and get hold of him, this car sounds ideal for me and not too far too. I was bidding on mats but it went too high for me. (well worth it but more than i can stretch to at the moment) This sounds like an attractive alternative.

If you can trailer it home, i dont think i would worry about insuring it until you got there. Didnt with my TZD which as in a similar predicament in April of this year. Now its a cracker having spent a few shillings on her.If you are gong to attempt to drive her home then you will need insurance but then i feel you will completely destroy the engine and not make it. So best trailor it and insure when you get home.

Thanks for Bobs number Tim, i've just had a long chat with him, the car is still down on the log book as a petrol despite his efforts to get it altered to diesel. I think this may be a stumbling block he said it's already put one buyer off. I will contact my insurance tomorrow to see what they say.
