Today got the letter back from the carer supplier company that alls ok and its the carer who we [dogs, mum and i like] who has been with us for the past 3 years who has agreed to cover for the X rally. In fact she has also agreed to do all 4 of my trips away this year which is great and something else less to worry about.
She rings mum up at Christmas and birthdays and after every stay and simply adores the wee beasties.
Roll on the X Rally.......

I might be being a thicko, but what are the costs/requirements of this? Do I just turn up in an X car and get in for free or is there some sort of admission fee? Do I have to be a member of the CCCCCCCCCCC? I are noobzor, hear me rawr!

All good questions! :)

Anyone and everyone can attend, and although it is the X Rally that doesn't mean just the Xs can attend. The X Rally was initially set up for a couple of reasons - firstly, the rally go-ers of the CX, XM and Xantia Rally wanted another rally earlier in the year as the wait until September was quite long... Also, the BXers wanted a rally howevere nothing ever got off the ground. So, the X Rally was formed through the Citroen Car Club East Midlands Group. Last year was the first rally and the attendance was 80+ Citroens. :D Hoping for over 100 this year please folks...

We as the CCC do not charge anything, however Burghley House charge £5 per car for parking. We collect this however every penny goes to Burghley House...

It is a very relaxed one day event with no camping - just turn up on the day. The CX, XM and Xantia Rally is a Fri - Sun rally with a convoy run, evening meal, raffle etc etc, held in September.

There's an apocalypse between now and then, so it might as well be 3 years.

Just a comment. Is there any proviso for this bad weather we are having? Its terribly wet here in E Sussex and i suspect its also pretty bad in Lincolnshire.
Is there any hardstanding that can be used for the rally or will vehicles have to be parked on grass?
The reason i ask is that in the event of a cancellation, i have to give 4 working days notice or face being stuffed to the tune of several hundred pounds by the care company.
