Hi community,
my name ist Thomas from Bad Bergzabern from Germany. I fund your forum with the seach on tapatalk.
I want to show my 1983BX 16 RS. It was found two years ago at Rudolstadt, the car was parked in the garage for 18 years. The engine was broken, there was no compression on two cylinders.
We changed the engine and the gearbox, because I wanted a BX with an automatic transmission.
2015 the BX will get an historic plate,we call it H-Kennzeichen. In Germany a car, which is older than 30years can get it,my BX is 30 in 2013 but it was even 1985 in circulation.
The Orga-Number is 2489, so the car was built on September 1st in 1983. We think,it´s the oldest BX on the road´s in Germany.
Every year we have a litte but very nice BX-meeting at Bracht. Perhaps someone of your communitiy want to come and visit us :)
Here some impressions from the BX:

Willkommen! We have at least one member actually living in Germany already. Your car looks fabulous. That interior is very blue!

Hi Thomas and welcome! Well done and congratulations on returning your BX to the road and thanks for taking the time to post some pics - I'm sure it'll be admired, there's alot of MK1 fans around these parts! 8)

Do you have any pictures of your BX meets in Bracht - they would be really interesting I'm sure if you have. Rights chaps . . . anyone fancy a trip to Germany? It's easy to get there, you just turn left at France and we can all stay at Todds! :D

As long as you have the original wheel to put back on it. I do think the Mk.1 dash and wheel is a major part of why they're so attractive. As Tim says though; your car, your rules! 8)

Just doesn't suit the car imho, but if you like it that all that matters :)
