Looking at the engine bay number pic there's a number above the paint code, 3805, will it be this?

and here is a metal pipe showing under brake circuit which one end terminates at the dosour valve,
and the other end is from 4 way union at the rear sub frame for the rear suspension

That was a handy tip of mine then Tim, to zoom into that Photo shot

So that's make its Length 3035mm as you know I have a good S/H (If you can't get a new one) which approx. 3160mm in length which would fit !
You'd just need to loose a bit when fitting it up (Or I could shorten it and re-flare the end for you) if its the one which has a union fitting on both ends as one of the pipes which go to the front near the bulk-head/floor pan area just connects into a rubber pipe and therefore does not have a union fitting in that position, so if it was you could just shorten the end accordingly to suit !

:)

From memory it will have a union on each end, although you've worried now as all the pipes did!

Maybe this one will be slightly different as it's so early - it does have some features generally seen on Mk1's rather than Mk2's.

there is one pipe out of the front to rear 4 pipes that just pligs into a rubber hose above the front sub frame, it also dose have a flair in it to help it stay in the rubber hose,

but this particular pipe has a flair nut at both ends as its the main brake feed to the rear,

looking at that under bonnet shot there'z bin rodents under there Tim
