Try living in Wales. The east was a hot bed of motoring action compared to here! People just buy brand new and drive it until it's broken around here. If they're selling something, it's probably very broken indeed. My last BX purchases have come from Kent, Nottingham and Manchester - bloomin' miles away! The train ticket to Manchester was £18.

I i got it. Ill have to take the tax off it. Because im alread running the xantia as a daily car. This new law says you have to declare the car of the road if not insured.
Unless i buy the car At 150 Post the tax disk back to him. When i have the car back home.
Ill love to put that tlc on it. Do the bits and bobs what needs doing to it. And then make a profit.
I know this sounds a bit mean. But with the bad luck. I had before. I deserve a bit of a bonus.
Ive always wanted to do a car up and make a buck or two
It seems a nice project to do. In my spear time. Surly that engine problem is a easy solution? Im good at making things look shiny :)
And it be cool driving in a bx again.

It's dead (or currently dying)!

Too many mechanical issues and too much rot to make it worthwhile.

I don't think it's the sort of car you'll be making profits on to be fair. It's more something to keep and do up over time. It's not afraid of being used either.

I'm sure it will grow on you :) It probably does feel a bit sedate compared to what you normally use, the upside is that it will be comfy & economical & as i've found with my n/a 1.9, its great for commuting as you can trundle along in 5th gear doing 30mph.....

That's pretty much all I do, 5th gear at 30-40mph. There's one stretch of national but the thing's so slow I don't really get past 50mph before the road ends

Economy hasn't been great on this batch of fuel, but it did have the running issue and there's been a fair bit of idle running going on. Think it's currently sitting at 37mpg, but I only do short journeys. It needs to get into the 40's for me to be happy.

Haha, no G-SEG is in much worse condition than the Estate! Body might be shiny, but the body is only 25% of the story. It's partially in bits already anyway - the temp gauge is now in the Estate, as are three of the wheels.

It would be nice to save them all, but even if you did all the welding and paintwork to go with it, it's still down on power. The clutch didn't feel happy, I think it has a cheapo downpipe on it.....it goes on. It'd be a right project! I expect someone somewhere would do it, but I'd rather keep the useful bits to keep the red one (and potentially others) going than mug it off to someone.
