There is some discussion over the membership fee, but there would be no National, ICCCR, Stratford, Northern Rally or X Rally without them (and a very good magazine at £2.50 per month), also I think the CCC is aware of the growing publicity of the BX Club after nearly all of the stand members in 2012 were also CCC members.

Very Important Day today. The rear subframe, beautifully restored, has been prepared for re-fitting on to the bodyshell. Hopefully, by the end of the day, it will be in place and I can use it as an excuse to pull a cork and toast a step closer to a return to the road. You need to bolt the wheels to something, after all!

Cue for a cyber piss-up! BYO and all stand up and toast the St Tropez subframe at 10pm. So what if everyone else thinks we've lost the plot, we'll know the truth! drunk

Far too busy celebrating last night to post this up, but here at last is proof positive of the job done. Looks rather business-like!

Looking fantastically new! Are those new sub frame mounts? Do you know of sets available?

Are they standard bump stops on the rear? They look longer than usual.
That is fantastic work, they sure know what they're doing. I hope to see it in the flesh one day when it's finished.

TBH, I'm not sure if they were the originals and have been shotblasted or new. Rob would tell you if you asked.

Nowt wrong with your eyes! Original bump stops no longer available. Rob has adapted some to fit. Not sure, but they might be from a 747...

I thought it might have been a deliberate modification so that one stop does the job of the stop and the rubber 'assister'. It might well work this way anyway.
