Speakers
Re: Speakers
Mike, you say the front tweeter/door speakers are in parallel, but how are the rear quarters wired in ? Is there a connecter straight from the head unit to the rears as they are coaxial ?

Re: Speakers
The standard rears are not coaxial, just a cheap small speaker in a shaped bracket so it fits by the C pillars.
They are connected to the rear speaker outputs of the radio.

Re: Speakers
I bought a pair of these for the rear speakers.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50W-8cm-3-5-C ... OC:GB:3160" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Needed to do some filing and drilling to the mountings to get them in, but not much.
Granted you can't push much bass through them, but they're a lot better than the standard ones and if you don't want to cut up your parcel shelf then it's a good solution. I have a little sub under the passenger seat for the low frequencies.

Re: Speakers
Cheers for the link, I haven't taken the C-pillar trim off yet to see how bad the rear speakers are yet but its next on the list, got the crossovers wired in today, kept the original tweeters in the end, there seems to be less hissing coming from them now, the sound is good though. If I turn the volume up too far the rears fart so I've shifted the balance to just the fronts for the time being.

Re: Speakers
Hmm - I'll have to see if they'll fit at all in the estate rear mounts - my current setup of original under dash speaker & new tweeters sound good sat on the drive, but not enough mid range while on the move. The other option I'm looking at is some speaker boxes on the rear shelf with some 6x9's in, but 8cm units behind the original grills would be a neater option. Bass not an issue because of the tube I have kicking about.I bought a pair of these for the rear speakers.
