Matt, the Chevronics advice is that the material is bonded to the foam, which in my St Tropez is slowly disintegrating. I can't be the only BX owner finding crumbs of foam gradually accumulating under the seat?

Good luck with the search Des !
Yep, close but no cigar. Likewise the Deauville models. As it happens, the tear in the fabric is stitched and won't get any worse, but the seat is getting saggier and it's going to need attention at some stage. I'm in France for a fortnight in August so I might root out a scrapyard, but it's still needle & haystack territory.

It can be separated from the foam and re-glued, I did it years ago to a 19rd i had so that i could machine wash the seat covers.

Hi,

I have two seats from my Citroen BX Cannes, the seats are the same as the UK "Tropez" edition.
My BX is LHD, I live in The Netherlands.

I will be in The UK a view days before X-mas !

Cheers.....

Bobby

Hi Bobby,

That sounds outstanding! When you get a moment, could you take some photos and post them on the thread or email them to me? Then we can arrange a possible rendezvous?

Thanks,

Des

Sadly I didn't even see a scrapyard at all on the trip! And apparently, actively seeking them out does not appear high on the list of desirable holiday activities  I was thinking about removing the foam plus covers, as I know certainly the bases remove easily. But it seems there is a way forwards now :)

Ah yes, I know all about less desirable holiday activities. They are never actually embargoed, nothing is actually said, but you always know when you've exceeded your quota.

Bobby has sent me some pics of his 'Cannes' seats and they look the same as the St Tropez. If he does make it to the UK, I should have solved the problem by Xmas. Prachtig!
