Paul296 wrote:Right - here's the (new) deal: How about if we have a laminated card in the cars with bullet pointed specifications, than have a further double sided laminate available at the desk for interested parties to pick up and walk round with? On the reverse of the blurb could be pics of the car/ resto's/important events in its life etc. That would work?
Not a bad shout - I think more people will read the specs sheet than the history ones.

That said, can we not just have two sheets? One in each rear window, or something?

Pleased to report that the wristbands have turned up - together with the car parking passes and the time for stand set up: 10 am (!)

I will see if I can negotiate this back to midday and hope it's a little bit flexible. We can get access on Weds by arrangement (i.e. call them) if that will help with carpet - Paul? - will call you later.

Again I nag: if you will be coming and spending some time on the stand, please let us know which day(s) as soon as possible - or I shall be dishing out extras to those who have requested them as it's silly to waste 'em. Thanks :)

IIRC, the set-up time is a 'no earlier than' just so you don't get everyone trying to get in at the same time. We had a very relaxed approach to timings last year!

Is there a day you need more cover for than any other? Think I can now make one day. Sunday would be my preference.

Fabulous, thanks Ian. I'll see what Mr H has to say about the carpet delivery and we'll work from there :)

Saturday is the quietest day at the moment, we do still have passes for Sunday though - and having read the paperwork, I can swop wristbands for some days for others. Which is nice.

Still trying to get a day off from work. I'm on a six day week, the week of the NEC and trying to get a Saturday off as A/L, is akin to the quest for the Holy Grail. I might be their in spirit only at this rate. At least it's a job. Sort of. :(

Put me down for Sunday then if that's ok. I may not own a BX, but I do still own the T-shirt!

Phil's on the case - should be printed this week. I've printed off all the graphics for the window and 'further info' laminates - I just need people's copy now ( I only have Matt's so far). Can folks submit a few pics too for the reverse of the 'further info' laminate? Cheers.

Carpet should also be sorted by mid-week so I'll know about delivery times n' stuff by then.

I've been so deluged that Paul's ended up taking most of the actual organising (thank you <3 and I'll hand over the special organising hat later ok?) and I'll just be Nagger in Chief. Current nag: exhibitors, we NEED those blurbs for the cars please! - even if you just PM the text to either Paul or me, we can sort out spelling, get it looking pretty, etc. Only you can tell the stories though, so get on with it - thanks :)

Just to . . . er . . . underline that. All the graphics are now printed and will be laminated up on Friday, so we do need it by then. It doesn't have to be all text - in can be interspersed with pics (don't forget to send lots of pics), or you can send it in note form and I'll write it up (I've only got Mat's so far [thanks Mat].

In other news I've cut a deal to get the flyers printed in a day or two - the multi-talented graphics genius and all round 'Mr Typeface', Phil Chidlow is rustling up a sexy design. :D

Cheers
