Those of us who went to the Conservatoire last year were given a BX DVD each, could we not run this via a laptop on the stand. I appreciate the battery will need recharging.

Probably need some sort of poncey licence or something, but could hide it in one of the cars or something. Could have sound too if someone's got an amp hooked up.

Cool, anyone got the technology? Or a car charger for a laptop!

There was some mention of sound needing a performing licence, but video might be OK. Anybody got a laptop which would last long enough? A car charger is still going to run the battery down - even if 100% efficient it'll draw about half as much power as leaving the headlights on...

Is there some kind of restriction on the amount of fuel in your tank for exhibitors? Or have I dreamt that up?

Video with no sound should be fine - and if we can get more than one laptop and switch the DVD between them that resolves the charging problem as car batteries have to be disconnected. I have two laptops that work, one a multimedia one which is better quality for whatever difference that's worth.

Excellent, does anyone have any decent sized laptops?

We can bring them back to mine and charge them each night.

I've got a laptop and a notebook though, which has a screen that swivels and hides the keyboard. Not very big though....small laptop size.

Plus the batteries aren't going to last 5 seconds, so we'll need to have more than one and do them in shifts, if we're not having electricity.
