Re: ZX corner
Mat F: Do you think this belongs in the Blog section? Even though it's not a BX? Your call.

Re: ZX corner
Aye, why not? It's obviously of interest given that it's up to 7 pages already. It's almost making me want to get one!

Re: ZX corner
Thanks. Mat, you should get one. A great stablemate for the BX.

Re: ZX corner
Have started to plan the refurbishment, repair and upgrades (as appropriate) for the ZX in preparation for not only the Challenge in 2015 but for the Citroen National in 2014. Once the suspension, brakes, exhaust, engine, bodywork, interior, etc. are sorted and the car's enjoying a new lease of life that's more than skin deep, I'll consider it's 'event livery'.... First idea (others inevitably to follow) is to pay homage to the current DS3 WRC...

Re: ZX corner
Phil,
had you really planned to d that to the ZX?
Why would you want to drive round in a training shoe?

Re: ZX corner
Only for the Challenge - it's part of the fun... Anyway, that's only the first of what be a few ideas. I wanted to do a Martini-style effect but use a brand not associated with Lancia/Porsche. Maybe...*
I'm keeping it very much white and black for 'normal' use.
* e.g.
Ha! Oilly Pratt.

Re: ZX corner
Nice work Philip. Interestingly the graphic shapes on the DS and your ahem 'copy' remind me of the old WW1 Q ship camouflage. They didn't use red but tried to break up the shape with lots of shortened motifs, usually in muyted greys and a little pale pink!.
Course the DS just wants to shout so red/black on white it is.
Careful you don't choose Campari colours, they're reserved for stuff from Luton

Re: ZX corner
Campari Ha! Just got it (that's showing our age lol)....
Cinzano and Ricard/Pastis 51 etc. all good possibilities...
I think the DS-inspired look will be difficult to execute in the flesh so to speak... And maybe it is a bit 'brash'. The ZX is no racing car really, so maybe something more subtle. Last time we concentrated on CITROEN as a brand (in the form contemporary to the BX)... Maybe any livery could be inspired more by the event... who knows?
Another few designs to follow...
But first an outline of the work planned. This will follow soon, after consultations with Team Philibusters' technical department
