Thanks Sandre. Definitely thinking about an NEC trip. It just depends on what work Rohan has got on that weekend.

Might make a raid on this event but again a clash of commitments as I have a reception to attend for a big Belgium based Europe wide restoration firm who signed me as a consultant, I suppose it would be called, for microcar restorations last year. They used to do this PR within Beaulieu Autojumble where we all had stalls but it is now held at a private stately home belonging to an investor in the firm, I think, over the same weekend. Much more freedom and less cost all round. I have to be there on Friday to meet several potential clients, one a Swiss, and from that my time will be dictated by the results of our meetings. All rather exciting and if it comes to a restoration contract I could get to stay in company accommodation near Antwerp to run the retained professionals restoration and prep the car for final roadworthyness using my knowledge and familiarity with those cars. That is not work really, is it? A real chance to get in with the big boys and a few Euros to boot.

I expect to be free Sunday but Sat evening could be out, if they want further discussions. Could be an important weekend for me, mate providing chauffeur driven Tatra 603 for image and so I can enjoy the free Belgium biers and fish based foods (boss owns a trawler fleet). All because I know their Riley specialist and we used to go and tidy up their left overs at Beaulieu on Friday and Saturday. So I should be able to liberate some supplies for Nick, the driver and fellow Beaulieu nibbler, for his later consumption. He might get retained too but no known projects to be discussed for him right now. We took it turns last year as we were being introduced.

Matt and I may not be able to attend this - we have to go to Kent and collect things like furniture and clothes, and I suppose he has to meet the family. We'll try and pop in though!

Latest forecast suggests Saturday and Sunday both perfectly acceptable - maybe a lunchtime sprinkling of rain on the Saturday. Today's going to be showery, but the ground's so dry any wet will be soaked up. And at least we stand a chance of driving our tent pegs into it. (Always look on the bright side :) )

40 miles west of afternoon venue and its clear blue sunshine at 8.30am, ground dry. Looks a good day to be alive. Do I struggle with Homer some more or go up the road to play? Got to go back to Stockbridge this evening so the trip back to Great Horwood is out.

Come tomorrow? As its historically the busiest day.

Wasn't when I was there. :D Sadly a thunderstorm came in at the tail end of the run out and was followed by pulses of rain. You either got, or you did not. Nice again this morning but chores to be done and Gary decided to loose two bulbs, speedo cable and had another LHM leak. Its a very naughty car.

Back home, a good day out, numbers were way down on last year sadly. Counted 8 in total, nice to meet Jonathan and his TXD estate which he bought from Janes friend.

A bit of rain last night on the way but stayed dry overnight and we enjoyed a pint in the Shoulder of Mutton.

Slightly spoilt by reading this Months Citroenian and the SM columnists damning report of the national! Well done Mark on getting your valver on the front cover !

That sounds like an opportunity to scribe a few words of rebuttal in the next issue then, Tim. :D
