Firstly, sorry to hear about your problem Tim
Secondly, I will have a shufty at mine tommorow Tim, and see if I can locate where the reverse light switch is fitted Tim  : My only problem with that is that she still has no coolant ( as I still have the heater tap not refitted as yet  ) so I can,t start her up to put her into high and have a nosey underneath the car to find the reverse light switch.
Weather permitting obviously, I will let you know Tim  :D
Vince,
You could start her up Vince. Did this to my TZD whilst Malcolm was working on her last year but only for very short periods. I dont know if its different for petrol models but a minute shouldnt hurt.

This switch is on top of the autobox Vince. You can see it from the top, with the bonnet open, in the vicinity of the actuator mechanism. :)

Mines got aircon too but none of that gubbins is obscuring view. Look down on the gearbox from just in front of the battery.

Dear Tim,
Firstly, sorry to be so long getting back to you Tim   But I couldn,t find the reverse switch :o There is something on the top of the gearbox casing, infront of the battery, it has some kind off plastic bag cover over it  :) I don,t know what it does though.
