Just did the one side which was creaking & leaning a bit, the other side is ok for the mo.

Going to get mighty sick of rear arm bearings soon, got 4 to do.... btw the kits seem to be getting rare and/or a bit expensive. Ended up with some Italian made kits so we shall see how they work, not too bad at about 21 a side.

The gears got very stiff a few weeks ago, hoping its just the clutch cable & not the clutch or the gearbox It's at Bourne for love & attention, not heard anything from them in a while, i'd better get on the blower & find out whats happening, i'm getting valveritis

Mmmm reminds me of 1.6, pretty sure it is not the box but maybe the release bearing. Not so tricky with the normal petrols, but the Valver is a bit tighter.... Worth a clutch cable lube for starters. I have a spare bearing if you want it as mine uses the ball joint type not the fork actuation. Unfortunately the only kit I could get had the 'wrong'. Also have a complete new 16v clutch which Luk said fitted my 1.6 - it doesn't!.

Finally managed to get onto the forum, i can't access it via outlook, but with chrome it works? The car is still at Barry's, i've not been able to get it back due to some health issues which has been very frustrating. The clutch has been sorted, although i've got no idea what's been done, the last lot of news was from a forum member who mentioned it was in pieces, so i'm hoping the broken heater control panel has been sorted as well & it now blows hot & cold air with the correct adjustment. Water was also getting in, possibly the aeriel mount, again hope thats been fixed. Shame its been away for so long, but i won't be driving this car in winter as it needs to get the little bits of rust sorting out to stop any spread & i don't want that salt to kill it, this will be a dry weather or used in summer only as the txd died of rust.

It was dark when we got to Barry's, but your car was there, minus various dashboard parts and Barry stated he was putting some new hydraulic pipes in?

There has been a bit of leakage which i thought had been sorted last time, perhaps it decided to piss out lhm again. I'm dreading phoning him to find out how much this is all going to cost, anyone want a valver

Saw the sad looking beast last sunday, bonnet off, the scuttle panel was clear of blowers etc & the entire dash was off, looked very sad. Quite a bit of the a/c system has been removed as it turns out the heater box was damaged with broken leaver & a cable which had been cut, either way it won't work. So 2nd hand parts to be fitted & the a/c sytem to be ditched, real shame as i was hoping to have working a/c one day, but its that bloody old & it was a non citroen one fitted by the dealer, so probably even more of a bitch to get sorted out. I'll keep all the a/c bits & probably sell the various bits if anyone wants some? I don't really want to drive it in this weather anyway, so i'm in no rush to get her back & would rather its sorted so it spends less time off the road this year than it did last year.
