Yes indeed, if that suits you of course? Friend of mine owns a courier company.

As about to acquire an XM with a 2.0i 16v is that the same basic engine? (Although quoted power for the XM's is 132 bhp). In which case what is responsible for raising it a further 35 horses?

The ex mani is equal length and you'd swear its off the after market shelf. The inlet is very long promoting better low down torque. The compression ratio is slightly higher ( I think) and the map will be totally different. But essentially they will be almost identical

I'd expect camshafts to be different too, as all the mapping is able to do is get extra fuel in there which will be useless without extra air. Unless the XM exhaust manifold is so poor the different one makes it flow massively better, but I doubt it.

As mat says I expect the 167 engine is dedigned to have power at the top end so it will be down to high lift cam's.

Oh there will be different cams in it for sure. Possibly bigger valves. But stripped they will look very similar. engine codes will be similar to xu10jp4 and xu10jp4s. Or something like that :-s

just a thought

what would be the dynamics of putting a 206 gti 180 engine in a bx.

currently looking at engine options for next winter
93 ZX Volcane TD
03 Xsara VTR - HDI (remapped to 140bhp)

92 BX 16v phase 2 - now sold
93 BX 17TGD - now sold
