Problem with that on the BX as far as I remember is there's very little room for the box to sit square on but away from the engine - gearbox mounting fouls the bodywork. Worth a try though!

Ive sorted something with Barry chaps, hes offered to do it a a very fair price if I roll my sleeves up and give him a hand (i.e get in the way, make tea and pass tools I expect) on a weekend,make it a bit of a technical day!

Actually Tim, you perhaps should not just make the tea but get well involved with the clutch change so that you might be able to have ago yourself next time you need to do it.

More than happy to make tea - and if Barry needs any advice on how to actually fit a clutch to a BX, I'm sure I can give him a few pointers - it's not really a job for a novice though. [-X :D

I'll come along and give you a lift Tim as long as I'm not at work. I work the oddest hours. I also have a trolley jack and solid stands. I think we have a spare ratchet strap at work as well. You've helped me and a lot of others on here so don't mind returning a favour. I'm not bothered about beer tokens but a nice strong cup of rosy lea goes down well! :D
