Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
I saw this car myself last week and imo £695 is very good value. A bit of detailing and if you wanted you could win some trophies...the front seats are zenith velour but the door cards and rear seats are tweed, Rob Moss has a complete Zenith interior he could sell you to complete the swop.
Good luck with the sale.
Good luck with the sale.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
Hi, what sort of mpg do these do please? I am after one, preferably a good spec with history. Whereabouts are you please? I live in Morecambe, Lancashire. If I was to get it how do I get in touch with the guy that is selling the interior to match the 2 front seats please?
Regards

Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
If I were in the Market for a BX now, which unfortunately I am not, I would be interested in this; looks nice. Was the auto box kept? If it were me I would quite fancy a diesel auto.

Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
the n/s front door is unmarked the o/s rear door has been supermarket crunched, will need work and paint, see my previous post "carpark ding", the o/s front and rear has a small crease about a foot long from the rear of the drivers door the the front edge of the rear door the paint has not been damaged so these may press out from the inside but not really that visible. i will try to add on some pics.classicnut5 wrote:Hi, back again, how bad are the battle scars to the door please?

Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
no the auto box was binned as it had "catastrophic internal failure" so prev owner told me, so rather than trying to fix something i know nothing about it was just as easy to change it to manual.adamskibx wrote:If I were in the Market for a BX now, which unfortunately I am not, I would be interested in this; looks nice. Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
Ah, yes; I think I would have done the same. I must look into how auto-box's actually work but can imagine them being like a cryptic puzzle in mechanical form. Very difficult to get your head around. Good luck selling the car.rutter123 wrote:no the auto box was binned as it had "catastrophic internal failure" so prev owner told me, so rather than trying to fix something i know nothing about it was just as easy to change it to manual.adamskibx wrote:If I were in the Market for a BX now, which unfortunately I am not, I would be interested in this; looks nice. Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
Hi Gents,
Relative Newbie here, although I swear I was a site member many moons ago, but had to re sign on
Long term Citroen fan here,
worked for Citroen since 1988, and looking for a run about, and loved BX's so looking for anything for sale, but knowing people not always aware on how to look after or repair the hydraulic systems, thought here would be a good place to look, as I would have a lot more trust in people that know the vehicles rather then just have the vehicle and no nothing about them
So on this topic is the vehicle still for sale ?
It's a bit early as far as when I intend to purchase one (end of may I will need something), I'm keeping my options open and looking at a few different BX's for sale at the moment
Cheers,

Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
Yes, the bx is mine, my intention is to take it for the MOT this weekend, see what the damage is and go from there, dont have much time spare at mo so will prob be advertised a little later now, i expect for the MOT it will need 2 handbrake cables and n/s/f strut return pipes which were advisories last time,i also have the bits for the rear arms, i will be posting any progress, thanx for your interest.

Re: 19 TGD coming up for sale
Thanks, saw you were local
Yeah will do, when you are ready to sell, I got a few I trawled round the net and other places I am keeping an eye on, but nothing I imagine being to serious at mo as like I say wont be needed until end of next month, and in that time I may find something suddenly comes up that's "a steal", or better suits my needs by being an estate or TD
Though I must say, yours does look a comparative minter compared to most I have seen, I regret getting rid of my first one, as was also mint condition, and was very low mileage, my second one however was when I got it, a heap, but by time I got rid, had new bumpers, bonnet, and tailgate, lots of mechanicals, and actually drove like a dream, pulled like a horse, but was just let down by interior, but there was no doubting under the cosmetics you could see it had had been abused, not looked after and was tatty.
As I don't have access to workshop any more, if I get a tatty but decent length MOT one, I am perhaps taking a bigger chance than if I get one I can see been looked after (esp from a fellow enthusiast) with long MOT, I would feel more sound, but it's not to say it guarantees no problems, mechanical breakdowns are part of older cars anyway so trying to way up all options.
I even have a couple of at C5 estates I am keeping an eye on, as seems to be loads of those about, but thinking about it, they were not the most reliable when new, and having to deal with the customers expectations of a new vehicle with problems was not easy, so maybe not, lol
I'l give you a shout at some point closer, or if for some reason I might be over that way
Thanks again
Chris.
