Ok there has been a definite benefit then, now best to check two further areas:

1) That the second throttle butterfly is operating smoothly because this is when that will be starting to operate. Ensure it rotates freely and returns properly under its own spring pressure. A sparing application of three in one oil on the shaft is worthwhile.

2) Not so easy to check except probably by substitution is the ignition amplifier. Usually this would give much more serious effects but of course it could be in its first stages of failure.

problem cured-fuel pump, had it checked today as it just didnt sound right, fluctuating speed, rattling and making less than 1 bar pressure. Got a universal pump from a local factors, its like a new car now.

manufactured by RTG, its not identical to the o/e fitment but similar, rated at 3.0bar, is a universal type, fits inside the rubber boot ok, also junked the old filter and replaced that as well with an extra filter in the return from the fuel rail. there is still a little glitch/hiccup @ 3500rpm but i think half a turn richer on the airflow mixture will smooth that out. certainly a lot smoother and responsive and pulls hard to the red line ( almost 2 stroke like once above 4k's) also stripped out all the breather hoses and steam cleaned them out found a lot of creamy residue inside the filler cap partially blocking the leak off to the throttle body and also found the breather from the rocker cover to the bottom of the crankcase was also blocked with same-prob not cleaned out properly after head gasket went, certainly seems to thrive on being revved quite hard, and with a new clutch pending should be even better.
