Lets start again the hose I'm refering as you know I have the 16v
lift the bonnet up now you se the engine put both both hands on the rad
look down at your right hand there is a hose by your right hand very close
to the rad looks like it would fit over a tea cup oval shape I'm laughing
as I mail this SORRY, come on is there one out there its not on your hose plan.

The given posted diagram showing the hoses are only the water hoses.

Are you talking about the inlet air ducting? This ducts air from the top of the rad to the air filter box and then there is a duct from this box running below it to the throttle body?

On the 16V this is usually a sort of woven sock with wire in it. This disintegrates.

It ducts fresh air to the air filter box.

I have a hard plastic hose on mine, with a big 'U' in the middle, the pipe is oval and maybe 5" at its widest point. I wonder if its this one?

Some cars have the hard plastic, others the woven mesh type. I think he's on about the intake bellows personally but frankly I have no idea what he's saying!
