Danny's unusual 1990 BX16 TRS
First post on this forum, so i thought i better stick some pics up of my beast of a BX. I'm sure some people on here must have seen or heard about this car?? It is called Dualatron, was built a few years ago by a chap called Paul from Leicester. The first car he ever built, all built outside his house with no cover, all by hand. I think its amazing. [img][IMG]http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh44 ... n/2046.jpg[/IMG. I've only had it a few weeks and have had loads of problems with it, so expect to see lots of questions in the technical section. Cheers Danny

Well managed to get a couple of pics posted. As you can see there's not a lot to give it away as being a BX. Its 18 feet long, very low, a nightmare to park, but i love it. Hope you like it too. Cheers Danny

Shades of Batman there to me. Don't tell me it's a 1.4!
It is a hell of a motor.

Yeah every one calls it the Batmobile, even got the Bat call sign on the boot.
Unfortunately its only a 1.6, so not very quick although it cruises along fine. I am toying with fitting a 1.9 with auto box in to it!! Have a few issues to sort out on it, but i use it as much as possible.

Wow. How cool to see this on the forum! The car is certainly well know, and seems nicely done. Can you get to the X Rally in it this weekend? Would be hilarious to see it in the line-up! (though I'd have to rely on people's photos as I won't be there).

Its a possibility, Any one going from the Aylesbury area? Its about 80 miles away, not sure i trust it to get there & back be nice to go with some one with good mechanical knowledge. I'm more into Hot rods & Kustums than Citroens, although I did have a CX estate many years ago and loved it. What goes on at the X rally?

Oh yes, we've all seen that car. I'm sure it will have given anyone that's ever Googled 'Citroen BX' a truly 'WTF' moment! (it did me). It is . . . er . . . astonishing!
It'd be brilliant to see it at the X-rally (which is basically loads of Citroens in a field outside Burghley house, with everyone having a jolly nice time in the sunshine - although the forecast isn't looking that good.
)

At least a question can be answered now. Does it drive that low or does it raise up as a BX should for actual driving about?

Re: Danny's unusual 1990 BX16 TRS
Yeah you can drive it flat on the deck, but can't go round corners as the front wheels will rub on the inner wings lol. Pretty sure the suspension is standard but the body sits lower, so you can drive it ok on a low setting, or no problem on medium & high.Dollywobbler wrote:At least a question can be answered now.
