What Jaba and Tim said, although slight leaning toward Jaba - we need to keep the forum going or it will be lost to the fathomless depths of facebook. Not that fb doesn't have its uses.

Sounds a lovely car, BX19 TRS auto with a/c and ABS, wish my GT had all that, especially a/c.

Best of luck, Tom.

I Did the same to my 87 19TRS Auto (estate)
And then drove it home 500 miles...
That was a bad idea...

I prefer the forum much more, just due to the fact that it is so much easier to browse..

As a resource Facebook is useless - if you want to chat or share pictures of your breakfast fine, but as an easily accessible way of storing and sharing information no - or am I missing something. The only information sharing I know with FB is the personal details Mr Zuckerberg sells to the highest bidder.
I'm not directing this at any BX FB page out there, as I've never seen it, but talking from experience of FB offshoots of other classic car forums.
Love Max's TRS by the way :D

I am inclined to think you are right vis a vis FB v Forum.
Lots of knowledgable people use FB and it is peppered with love that colour type comments but what puzzles me is why FB is more popular in terms of participation when it patently does not tick all the boxes as an accessible and searchable resource, never mind the security of your personal data.

A lot of people virtually live on Facebook and car pages are just another swipe away so it's very easy for them.
